Enchanted...... literally =P

As you can expect, this is about the new Disney movie Enchanted.

If you don't like happy endings, this is not for you.
If you don't like whacked out storylines, this is not for you.
If you don't like cheesy song and dance routines, this is not for you.

If you don't mind any of the above and am looking for a good movie, Enchanted is for you~

Disney's classical fairy tale of Prince finds Princess...... with a twist~

Giselle (Princess in question) meet Prince Edward and falls in love.
On her way to be wed she is waylaid by Edward's stepmother (witch of story in question), then tricked and pushed into a magical well that sends her from fairytale land to ours.

She gets into an array of mishaps and eventually ends up 'falling' into divorce lawyer, Robert's life.

Attempting to bring her back is our proverbial Prince Charming, Prince Edward who jumps into the well with his trusty squirrel Pip to try and find Giselle and bring her back to live Happily Ever After.

Along the way, mishaps and mayhem occurs, setting the base for a hilarious but touching family film.

A well churned movie by Disney, it's been so long since I've laughed so hard.

Definitely deserves a 10/10 in my book.

Bored ahhhhhhhh

Tomorrow = DSD exam at 1400 hours.

Today = Supposed to be cramming hard until I wanna puke.

The problem is I've got no mood to cram and I'm BORED till I wanna puke!

>_>

ZZZzzz

In my fit of boredom I realised there's one thing I CAN do.
Update my very boring blog. =P

Anyways, what to write?

I could blog about being rammed by a Toyota Altis a few weeks ago when I was on my bike.
But I probably should have done that the day itself, barring foul mood at having to get my bike repaired, $$$.

I could blog about finally finishing my god darn made-in-hell assignment.
But I was too busy sleeping and sleeping after nearly a week of insomnia.

I could blog about ostracizing a lot of potential plagiarists with my fouler than rotten eggs mood.
But hey, foul moods never last long enough.

Or maybe I could blog about a few excellent anime and manga I've been reading whilst I should have been studying.
But that would take too long.

So, in a nutshell.

I'm just blogging cause I'm bored~

Friends

Haha, another sleepless night for me,though of my choosing this time. (Herbal Tea > Coffee and Tea)

It's specifically in the late hours of our time that an old friend of mine from Europe whom I haven't talked to for months, maybe an entire year nudged me on MSN.

Turns out life's been great for him since I last talked to him, he's got a great GF and enjoying life.
As we began talking about stuff of how we got to know each other and all, something he said really struck a nerve in me.

"Back then in guild chat, you and my family were basically the only ones who bothered to talk and listen to me."

That touched my heart really, more so that he continued on saying how great a guy i was (Ok, for those who know me in real life, don't break his nice illusion of me please~).

Then as we talked and chatted, I started pouring out stuff I normally don't tell even some of my best friends, it was like what he said struck a nerve in me and I had some kinda connection.

For once in a long time, I didn't have to make myself smile, it came from the heart. =)

I realised how cold and distant I've probably been to the people around me, there are tons of people caring and looking out for me and I've probably been a royal pain in the neck trying to annoy them off me.

I really need to get my priorities straight.

That being said, I probably should finish studying for my Electronics test later.

Thanks Jeff for dropping by and saying hello, you'll probably never see this blog, but my thanks to you for lighting up my day come from my heart. Thanks for teaching an iceberg to love and embrace the sun.

Thanks mate!

Deathly Hallows~ THE END~

Spoilers below, don't say I never warn you Haris.

So, after so many books, so many years, it's finally over.
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.

Even as this greatest of stories draws to a dramatic end, a strange feeling chokes my throat as pepper seems to get in my eyes every time I finish a long series.
This is the end, for us all.

Goodbye Harry, he who accepted Death, who passed on and came back, he who believed in strength and courage even to the very end.
Your story will never end, but will survive the depths of time as we reminiscence over and over again the laughter, sorrow, hate and love that passed through his eyes, and perhaps eventually the eyes of his sons and daughter.

Goodbye Ron, who faced fear and despair, yet found it within himself to pull out the courage to trust and to love. We will miss you dearly as friend, brother, and father.

Goodbye Hermione, so diligent and true. Tis not wit that makes the best of a witch, but also what she chooses to do with it. You stayed true to the cause even as all hope seemed faltered, never relenting, ever awake.
Look after Rose and Hugo, perhaps they will grow up to be the witch and wizard their parents were true and true.

Farewell Severus, in your final moment was the truth known and all malice forgotten.
You had known love, you never forgot it and it was love that brought you on this forsaken road, in search of that which you had lost, forever more to your own hatred. Perhaps we all hide a part of Snape in ourselves, trying so hard to love, yet ending up hurting those that we love the most.

Farewell Voldemort, you knew not love, you knew not friendship yet these are the very things you fell though, with your scorn and despise for them. We will remember you and remember to hold dear that which you loath, for it will be what liberates our souls as we venture near to darkness.

We pay homage to those who died, giving their lives for the cause, believing always in freedom and love, even in the face of death. You died to protect those you loved and forever more will your memory be ingrained in our hearts.

R.I.P Mad Eyed Moody, Hedwig, Dobby, Lupin, Tonks, Fred, Colin, Snape and so many more who could not live to see the world that was free once more.

It feels strange, finally finishing the story.
As if a part of you suddenly opened, creating some kind of gap inside,
an empty gap that makes you feel hollow, as if you're incomplete.

Perhaps it will never heal.

Till the day that an angel cometh......

Michael Learns to Rock!!! *Not that they need do, they already rock the world*

<3 That's right, I was in Genting for the Michael Learns to Rock Asian World Tour ^^

And I've got to say, they still rock this world and the next!

The show started shortly after 8pm with some new songs that I wasn't really familiar with. *Ok lah, sua ku long time nvr listen to English song*

But even if you've never heard it, you only need one time to fall in love all over again with the great music that they've been performing for nearly 20 years.

They went on to present a few new songs freshly out of the oven, set for release with their next album. Omg, time to save my $$$ for an album worth buying.

Jascha Richter had a fun night it seems, playing around with the songs, first toying with the keyboard, then grabbing up a guitar later on to strum it up with Lentz, Wanscher, and apparently a new bassist they recruited. Lentz seemed to be preparing for a marathon as he pranced all around the stage, showing off his superb guitar skills to the audience.

That being said, there's a comedic side to them as well as they proceeded to leave the stage after claiming "Hey, you guys know how to sing the songs so we can go home now." after an audience sing along for 'The Actor'.

But hey, Jascha was back on stage within the minute playing a few soothing new singles on the keyboard before going on to perform hit oldies like 'Sleeping Child', '25 Minutes', 'Paint My Love' and many more.

But good things never do last forever.
As the last key fell for 'That's Why', we knew it was over when they held hands and bowed to the audience as we clapped fantastically for one of the best performances you'll see this side of the globe for a longgggg time.

So everyone, let's hear it for Michael Learns to Rock!!!!!

"I won't forget, the way, you're kissing~~
The feeling so strong~
Were lasting for so long~~~

But I'm not the man,
Your heart~
Is missing~~~
That's why you go,
Away I~~~ know
That's why you go~
Away I~~~ know~~~~~"

P/S Special props to my dad for getting tickets for me, Joon Hai and Sureewong to go watch this bombastic show, and also for the fattening meals we had on our way up and down.
Slops to Haris for not being around to watch it with us, BOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Oh ya, below are some pictures I finally got back from my friend for my Singapore trip wayyy back during semester holidays. Bon Appetite~

*Edit, nvm, internet slow today, upload tmr.*

Sleep......Why?

What would you choose.

If bliss was in a dream,
and loneliness would be shut off......

I choose insomnia.

For the simple reason of not losing happiness.

What can you lose?
If you never have it in the first place?

Why should I be happy in my dreams?
If I am to lose it in my waking hours......

Why should I dream?
If the dream will end?

I want a world of endless dreams.

The Lost Heaven,
Perhaps it will appear......only in dreams......

What are you willing to sacrifice?

Going for Camp~~

And loving it~~~ FOOO

Hehe, at the moment I'm packing for a camp that I'll be heading to tomorrow.
The one in question would be the Intervarsity Camp (全国大专生活营) organized by MMU.

http://clsc.ypwow.com/quanying/

The website is up above for those interested in knowing what it's about.
Word to the wise though, not for the ABCs and Non-Chinese literate.
Yea Haris, you wanna know what it's saying wait for me come back and tell you, bwahahaha.

Anyways, recent few days been interesting to say the least.
I mean, how often does a ceiling fan in your lecture room come crashing down, with one of the blades splintering and flying over everyone's heads?

Seriously, it happened in the classroom that we were using for Electronic Devices II just this afternoon.
One of the newcomers to the class had the 'privilege' to witness it first hand......being the unlucky soul who came closest to being beheaded by the rogue fan.

Upon closer inspection......the fan was locked in place originally, only by a SINGLE bolt in the wall.

What the heck? That's all that's standing between us and decapitation? One tiny measly metal bolt?

I smell GG.com

That's the last time I'm gonna pick somewhere 'cooling' to sit, I'd rather take my sweat and bothered-ness than be successor to the Headless Horseman.

One last anecdote before we go.

Remember Master Yoda from my previous post?

Well, he's back and toting Final Fantasy XII this time.

I was setting up the projector in front of him when all of the sudden, this popped up.

"Final Fantasy XII isn't as good as I thought it would be ah."

*Temporarily dazed by the sudden pop question*

Me : " Haha, I wouldn't know, unless I borrow a PS2 from someone to try it out. You've finished it Sir?"

M : "No, I just want to get a CD to watch the story, don't want to play it."

Me : "Ooo......."

*Insert meaningless banter*

LoL, I wonder what's gonna pop up next time?

"Eh, what brand of condoms are the best? I'm trying brand XXX but it doesn't seem to give the same nice comfortable feeling as brand YYY."

^^

Anyways, till I get back from camp.

Aerin, signing off~

P/S Hope the camp won't be too sienz.

New Semester! New Day!

Wahhhhh, first day of the new semester, it's already been 1 whole year???!

So much has happened over the last year, it's like it's been an eternity.

But when you consider I'm already well into the middle of my course, I can't help but complain time passes too fast.

A new day comes, yet men will still remain,
all that is lost, is engraved forever in our memory......

Anyways, new sem, new lecturers!

Most notable one would be a Mr. M who's what you'd call an unconventional lecturer.

He started by trying to explain how he'll go about teaching us through a work philosophy, and that we're there to work, not to study, and our employer's are our parents who are paying us minimal pay to learn skills~

Then he continued by commenting that our class of 44 is too many, and says he'll try his best to fail as many of us as possible. O_o

He finally wrapped off with something along the lines of

" As Yoda says, don't be lured by the dark side. "

Wah, deep man, lol. I got a feeling this sem is gonna be quirky.

On an unrelated side note, I experienced a funny situation at the office of the campus after class involving a conversation between the clerk and a student apparently trying to get a tutorial timetable.

Girl : "I want to apply for leave."
Clerk : "Ok, here's the leave application form."
Girl : "Nonono, I want the timetable so that I can schedule my leave."
Clerk : "Ok, here's your timetable."
Girl : "Nonono, I already have that timetable, I want to apply leave during tutorial."
Clerk =_= : "Ok.... here's the leave form."
Girl: " Nonono! I want the timetable so that I can apply for leave!."
Clerk : "Here's your timetable la!"
Girl : "Nonono! Not this timetable! I want the timetable to apply for leave!"
Clerk : "Yea la! This is your timetable right?"
Girl : "Yes."
Clerk : "Then take it and the form and apply for your leave la!"
Girl : " Nonono! I don't want this timetable! I need the timetable to apply for leave!"

*Mimics clerk fainting out of sheer "zha dou" factor.*

LoL.

Aerin,

Signing off~~~~ SIENZ HOLIDAYS OVER!

Mixed feelings =X

Sigh, going back to KL tomorrow.

Really dunno why I decided to go back so early, right as soon as I decide I'm going back, suddenly everyone is sms-ing me to ask me to go here and there. >_<
It's like Murphy's Law with a twist,

When I'm free and bored, there will never be anyone free or with the initiative to ask me to go out and about.
When I'm bout ready to head back to the land of boredom, EVERYONE is asking me to go to activities hitherto.

Sienz.

Anyways, topic of the day.

When is it safe to assume you're thinking too much into things when you're trying to woo a girl?

This suddenly popped in my mind after a yumcha session with my friend Ah Hao an hour back.
He's over the moon because of being able to spend some *quality time* alone with his crush.

Lucky bugger, =P

To be precise, it was more of a voluntary tuition session, but let's not burst the bubble shall we?

Anyways, he kept asking us questions bout whether so and so action by said female was a hint of indication of her interest in him.

Overreacting? Maybe.
Oddly familiar behavior though......

=P

Anyways, halfway through our conversation, this suddenly popped up.

" Eh, anyways, no matter what happens, you all will always be my best 'lousy' friends." =) *insert big toothy grin here*

O_O

Talk bout sudden mushy-ness.

Though the thought behind it is what counts =P

It's nice to have someone you can really call your good friend, someone to share your weals and woes with.
More importantly, to have someone you can talk to bout all the things you keep hidden within you.

I think that's probably what everyone in this world wants.

Friends =)

Ok, enough to the mushy talk. =X

Going back KL 1.30pm tomorrow.

Time to catch some shuteye.

Nitez.

OMG,SIENZ~!!!

ZZZ, Kulai is a boring place to be >_<

Nothing to do here cept game, msn, surf all day.

Go out with friends?
Sorry, all my friends have a spatial bout of autism and would rather sit at home talking to their bedroom wall.

And I quote :

"Hey, wanna come out for some drinks and chit chat?"

"Dun wan dun wan, so late already, lazy go out. Dun wan lar!"

....... time of conversation = before 9pm.
wth?

Anyways, the pictures of my Singapore trip are still with my friend >_> Who is either in Muar...... or KL now, not sure. =X
I'd ask him, but he's not online atm and my phone budget is getting tight with all the calls I've been making to try and create some entertainment *see above* recently.

Sienz, how come all my yumcha kakis are either all outstation /out of country, or all my other 'friends' all semi-autistic?

ZZZzzz.

So far, the only interesting that's happened these few days is the spectacle of watching one of my good friends whom we shall name "H", trying to 'kau lui', a.k.a chase skirt, haha.

The target in mind would be one of the students he teaches tuition, at a tuition center near my place. He's been constantly badgering us to visit the cafe where she works so that he has an excuse to drop by and literally chase her skirt around, but has no guts to go solo. LoL

Excerpt of our conversation.

Him : "Hey, let's go over to Ice Story, there got pretty girl."
Me : "Hehe, up to you ba, I know you got ulterior motive."
Him : "NONONONO, I'm not trying to fook her or anything!"
Me : "Yeaaaaa right."
Him : "NONONO, really!"

^_^

It's actually quite fun watching his facial expression as he tries to think of ways to chat up the girl, but then is too LOL shy to do it.
This coming from a guy who talks louder and more boisterously than most the girls I know.
It's a very funny change, furthermore he keeps asking me what I would do in his shoes.
Wth, you're the one chasing skirt wei, don't ask me.
If you're gonna be asking me, might as well move aside and pass the golden oppurtunity to me! Haha, j/k j/k.

Anyways, I'll try to camwhore some pictures of his 'escapades' next time I go there with him.

Till then, sienz ya later!

P/S I got a new haircut, sienz, too short!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DIE BARBERS!!!!!!

O_o Moving house too o_O

After considering that all my friends have 'pindah rumah' from xanga.com to blogspot, I decided to 'pack' my stuff and move here as well, if only to get a fresh change and fresh start to my blog. =O

Anyways, to continue where I left off last time, here's Part 2 of my Singapore trip!

*Invisible director yells : "Ok, Singapore Trip, Take Two! ANDDDD ACTION!" *
*Curtain furls back*

Ok, let's start off with lunch. =P
Met up with my friend Pei Yun and her ex-colleague Sok Mun at Bugis after a long ordeal trying to help Arvin try to get his luggage to his friend's dorm in NTU. We ended up splitting with me joining the girls for lunch and him heading to his friend's dorm to 'familiarize' himself with the route. @_@

Anyway~~~
<------ Is in Bugis if anyone is wondering. We had the famous Katong Laksa which is somewhere beside the OG building. To tell the truth, I couldn't really see the difference between my medium laksa and the small laksa the girls ordered =X For a difference of $1, there isn't really a noticeable increase in portions. Yea, I'm a glutton, at least I'm open bout it. ^_^.
Anyways, on the plus side, the laksa was actually quite good, here's a close up of how it looks like.

Mmm, anyone drooling yet?

Apart from the generous servings of 'ham' and prawns and fishcakes, the soup is a nice balance of sourness and spiciness, giving it a nice appetizing tinge, making your taste buds go wild as you eat it. ^_^

If anyone is interested in trying it......
I'll be happy to show you where it is XD

As long as you treat me to another bowl, Bwahaha.

After a fulfilling lunch, we meandered around the OG shopping mall for awhile before heading over to Sim Lim Square to help the new addition to our crew, Mr Low Yi Qian (See dazed picture) or YQ for short which I will use here (Laziness ftw) , buy a new camera. =O

In the end, it ended up in a toss up between getting his camera of choice ( A spanking new Lumix camera which model I can't remember =X ) from a semi shady looking shop which was offering him $380 ( Went from $500 to $400 as he backed off and hit $380 after more persistent haggling) to $450 from a shop upstairs with certified manufacturer logos and whatcha-ma-call-its.

Frankly, I was already dozing off due to the sienz-ness of waiting for them to finish browsing and haggling.
The girls were also almost at their limit, we had been going up and down up and down for nearly 2 hours to get a good price for the !@#$ camera.
I was pretty sure the bosses of both shops were about ready to start bombarding us with random debris if we tried to undercut them anymore.

*Runs for cover in bunker*
*FIRE IN THE HOLE!*

Anyways, random picture of said bored alpha males.

<-------- Epitome of sienz-ness, wouldn't you agree? In the end, FINALLY got his camera from the shop downstairs, albeit being milked out of $440 with the additional 'fees' going to the license paper and an extra Toshiba battery. GG $350 budget, LoL. Moral of the story, budgets are made to be exceeded. =P With that over and done with, next destination : Esplanade CONFIRMED! And awayyyy we went on a quaint little bus all the way to the Esplanade. Took quite alot of pictures there too I may add, though they were mostly with YQ's camera and Arvin's W810i. =X Sucks to have the lousiest camera phone among the bunch. I want an N95! * hint hint cough bday cough next year cough cough hint hint* Until I can get the more interesting pics from them, here are some pictures of the artwork being displayed there. =P

Doesn't it look like a gigantic *gasp* durian from outside?

Anyways, lemme show you some pictures of the Merlion which is nearby, a big tourist attraction for many foreigners.

Hmmm, let's see.

*Digs through photos*
*Gasp*

I'm out of photos =(

Ah well, will continue when I get the rest of the pictures from my friends.
Tata for now ~

Till the next sienz outing.
Aerin, signing off !!
